Girls in STEM challenges middle and high school students to build tech projects for social good. Participants can create websites, apps, games, AI tools, or prototypes that solve real-world problems in areas like education, health, accessibility, safety, and sustainability.

Requirements
What to Build
Build a tech project for social good. Your project can be a website, app, game, AI tool, or prototype that solves a real-world problem in areas like education, health, accessibility, safety, sustainability, or community support.
What to Submit
Submit your project name, team name and members, a short project description, the problem your project solves, how it works, a demo video, and a GitHub or project link if available.
Prizes
1st place Overall
Awarded to the project with the strongest overall mix of creativity, impact, technical quality, and presentation.
2nd place Overall
Awarded to a standout project that shows strong innovation, execution, and clear value.
3rd place Overall
Awarded to a strong project that demonstrates solid problem-solving, effort, and creativity.
BEST BEGINNER PROJECT
Awarded to the best project created by a beginner or first-time hacker team.
BEST SOCIAL IMPACT
Awarded to the project with the greatest potential to make a positive difference in a community or solve an important real-world problem.
MOST CREATIVE IDEA
Awarded to the project with the most original, imaginative, or unique concept.
BEST AI PROJECT
Awarded to the strongest project that uses artificial intelligence in a meaningful, effective, or innovative way.
BEST HARDWARE/ PHYSICAL PROJECT
This award shows that you/ your team had the best project that was built or made physically instead of online.
GREATEST WOMEN IMPACT
This award shows you had the best impact on women equality/socially, great job!
